Montrealers are blessed with two (2) orchid societies: an English society and a French society.

The French society, Les Orchidophiles de Montréal, meets on the third Wednesday of every month except July and August. The meetings begin at 7:30 pm in a church, Sainte Louise de Marillac, which is on Honoré Beaugrand, about 6 blocks south of Sherbrooke St. The Orchidophiles have a web site: http://www.orchidophiles.qc.ca/

The English society, the Eastern Canada Orchid Society (ECOS), meets on the fourth Thursday of every month in Saint Lambert at the St. Michel Community Centre at 31 Lorne St. except for December, June and July. ECOS also has a web site http://www.ecosorchids.ca/en/index.html

The three other closest orchid societies are in Quebec City (Les Orchidophiles de Québec), Kingston (Kingston Orchid Society) and Ottawa (Ottawa Orchid Society) in Canada and, in the US, Syracuse, NY (Central New York Orchid Society).
